ken fullerI am today experiencing and participating in an event significant in US history regardless of whom you will decide to vote in November. In this city of our birth as a nation, Philadelphia, I along with over 4700 other delegates from all the Congressional Districts of this country, join to nominate the first woman to be nominated by either Party as its standard bearer for President of the United States, our Chief Executive and Commander in Chief. Coming face to face with all God’s children

gary batchelorI recently returned from a pilgrimage to “the left coast.” To be specific, I helped move my daughter’s family from Alabama to Los Angeles. In the week-long drive, there was a lot of time to think, to remember, and to marvel at the incredible variety of geography in our great country.

It was also a time to encounter a lot of strangers and to deal with the disquiet that comes with being in unfamiliar surroundings and with unfamiliar people. And yet the variety of people mirrors the variety of geography; that variety is at the heart of America’s greatness and it must be cherished. (more…)
